Students map the HindIII and EcoRI restriction sites of phage Lambda using predigested restriction fragments and full length phage. This experiment is also of historical importance because the combination of Lambda phage DNA and the enzymes HindIII/EcoRI mark a milestone in molecular biology that laid the foundations for gene therapy, transgenic organisms and modern biotechnology.
