edge features advanced pH electrode diagnostics to ensure worry-free measurements. Diagnostics include Hannas exclusive CAL CheckTM feature that alerts users to potential problems during calibration. The Sensor CheckTM feature for glass and junction integrity is enabled when using optional pH electrodes with a matching pin.

edge features a capacitive touch keypad that gives a distinctive, modern look. The keypad has a fast response and is sensitive enough to be used with laboratory gloves. Since the keypad is part of the screen, there are no buttons to get clogged with sample residue.

edge features a 5.5 LCD display that you can clearly view from over 5 meters. The large display and its wide 150° viewing angle provide one of the easiest to read LCDs in the industry.

edge pH electrodes are highly advanced, featuring a built-in microchip that stores calibration information that is automatically retrieved by edge once the electrode is plugged in. With a digital electrode it is possible to change electrodes without having to recalibrate since the calibration information is stored in the pH electrode and not the meter. This allows flexibility for the user that measures pH with more than one electrode.

Hannas exclusive CAL Check feature analyses the pH electrode response in the pH buffers during the calibration process to alert the user of potential problems such as contaminated buffer and clean electrode. After calibration, indicators for probe condition and response time are displayed on the measurement screen. The probe condition indicator is based on offset and slope characteristics of the pH electrode.

When used with Hannas electrodes equipped with a matching pin, edge constantly checks the impedance of the pH measuring electrode to notify you in real time in the event of glass breakage. During calibration, Sensor Check checks the state of the junction. The reference junction is also evaluated and reported on the display.
